Pack Meeting Plans

November 23, 2011

Who doesn’t need some help? I sure do. I love it when resources are provided to me that make my life easier. When I came across the information below, I just had to share it.

The BSA has simplified Pack meeting planning and made it easy and accessible. Check out the resources. In minutes, you’ll be on your way to a fun, productive pack meeting. And that means the Scouts will be learning more and having more fun – and they’ll stay in the program longer, better preparing them for their future. And what parent and leader doesn’t want to help prepare their kids for a their future? I sure do.

Mid-America Council Pack 565

The following  information was taken from www.ScoutWire.org.

To help Cubmasters and roundtable commissioners develop rewarding, theme-based Cub Scout pack meetings each month, the National Council has created a series of meeting plans centered around the program’s 12 core values that use various themes to enhance the meeting environment.

The plans—which contain several pages of program suggestions, stories, puzzles, and more, compiled into a downloadable PDF file—are being rolled out between now and next May. The first three, centered around the values of cooperation, responsibility, and citizenship, are already online at the Pack Meeting Plans site on scouting.org/cubscouts.

When all the meeting plans are developed, there will be a total of 48 theme-related resources—four for each core value. The Cubmaster can simply go online and choose which theme he/she would like to use for the pack meeting that focuses on that core value.

Check out the meeting plan for December here.
