Urgent – volunteers needed this weekend!

November 8, 2013

Image

Volunteers are needed to pick up corn by hand in fields that were blown down by the recent tornado. Help is needed at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, and Sunday, November 10, 2013.

Dress warm, bring gloves, and prepare for possible muddy conditions!

The meeting location will be at the Jack and Bev Beeson property in Wayne, Nebraska, 3 miles east of Dairy Queen, and then north for 1. 6 miles. There is only one Dairy Queen in Wayne; it’s on the intersection of the highways.

Address is:

85663 579th Ave

Wayne, NE 68787-8009

For more information, please contact Bev Beeson at 402-375-9027.  Or, Diamond Dick District Executive Tracy Yost at (402) 841-3037, or tracy.yost@scouting.org.

Please share this with others you think may be able to help.  Bring the Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops and the Girl Scouts!  This would be a great way for them to earn service hours.  Bring the church youth groups, 4-H youth and don’t forget the high school band!  Many hands make quick work!

Thank you in advance for your help!
