District Executives receive awards at planning conference

Mid-America Council professional staff attended a three-day, regional 2014 planning conference in Kansas City at the end of January. The first two days professional staff from St. Louis Area Council, the Heart of America Council and the Mid-America Council planned together. The third day Mid-America Council professional staff worked on planning for our council. At the end of the third day, all of our professionals were thanked and recognized for tenure.

Janelle Ehlers, District Executive, earned the Heritage Award. This award is presented to someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty to get the job done. The recipient must have a minimum of one year tenure. Ehlers serves Thundercloud District, which covers Osceola, Dickinson, Emmet, O’Brien, Clay, Palo Alto, Cherokee, and Buena Vista Counties in Iowa .

Erin Glidden, District Executive, was awarded the Oil Can Award for being an outstanding team player. This recipient must also have at least one year tenure. Glidden served Lewis and Clark District, which covers Eastern Omaha and the Ralston and La Vista areas.
