Snow is Coming – Join the Snow Corps!

Snow is Coming!
Volunteer for
BSA Snow Corps
Snow Corps is a program that we offer to Wounded Warriors in Douglas and Sarpy Counties. Scouts are connected with Wounded Warriors and provide them with snow removal following winter weather. Wounded Warriors are severely wounded, ill, or disabled soldiers and veterans.
We have several Wounded Warriors calling and asking to be connected with a pack or troop. Currently, all Scouts who have volunteered are connected with a Wounded Warrior. We need more Scouts to volunteer!
How can my Pack, Troop, or Crew get involved?
Packs, Troops, and Crews that are interested in the Snow Corps program will need to complete the registration.  If you are paired with a veteran, you will receive a map and a list of homes in your area you will be responsible for clearing the driveway and sidewalks after a snowfall.  Lowe’s has generously agreed to donate shovels and ice melt for the Snow Corps to use when clearing the driveways and sidewalks of our Wounded Warriors. Gear is available to pick up at the Durham Scout Center during business hours. Please let Tom Kutilek know when you are coming to pick up the items.
