October was a busy month for camping events in the Mid-America Council. Districts held Cub Scout on-boarding events and Boy Scout Camporees. The Top Shot competition and Haunted Weekend at Cedars helped to provide even more fun and exciting opportunities for Scouts to get out and have fun.

Even though seasons are changing and weather’s getting colder, the fun and adventure is not stopping! Petah La Shauro District will be hosting a Webelos Lock-in in November where Scouts will get the chance to earn activity pins such as Athlete, Communicator, Handyman, Readyman, and Showman. November opportunities also include Scout Night with the Omaha Lancers, and later in January, Goldenrod will host the annual Fun Olympics at the Fremont YMCA. Cold weather doesn’t stop Scouting fun and adventures! Watch the Mid-America Council web site Camping pages and Calendar for events and sign up dates, and come have some fun! If you have any questions, please contact me any time at 402-431-9272 x243, or email me.
