Soles4Souls MAC Service Project

Recycle Your Old Shoes!

The Mid-America Council is proud to announce that we will be participating in a COUNCIL WIDE Service Project during Jubilee October 10-12, 2014 at Mahoney State Park.

Bring 1 or more pair of any size shoes, no amount too small or big, we’ll accept them all! Individuals can earn a patch and service hours for bringing in 25 or more pairs of shoes. Bring your shoes to the drop off location near the main entertainment stage Friday night or Saturday, and we’ll do the rest!

The shoe charity has relationships with some of the leading footwear companies, but the people that truly make the non-profit organization effective are those who clean out their closets and donate their ‘gently worn’ shoes. Your shoes will help change the lives of people around the globe, whether they are victims of a natural disaster or subject to living in extreme poverty. The charity can use each and every one of these pairs to make a tangible difference in someone’s life.
It is estimated that Americans have 1.6 BILLION pairs of unused shoes lying in their closets.
